Call of Duty (CoD for you geeks) is a first-person shooter published by Activision and developed by Infinity Ward and Treyarch. It kicked off with a setting in World War II, but then branched off into futuristic worlds and even outer space.

The game lets you advance in a series of campaigns, or else have it out with other humans in a multiplayer mode. You are in charge of an infantry soldier who can carry weapons that he can pick off dead soldiers, and must complete a series of objectives to pass on to the other mission. Well, basically.
