CoD Season 4 Delayed

CALL OF DUTY MODERN WARFARE SEASON 4 ALSO DELAYED

Following Sony’s delay of the PS5 event, Call of Duty Modern Warfare season 4 has also been delayed, alleging that “now is not the time.”

In the wake of the protests against police violence generated by the death of African-American citizen George Floyd perpetrated by a Minneapolis policeman and considering the US of America is a Battle Royale map… Infinity Ward and Activision are delaying all content related to Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone. In addition to Season 4 of Modern Warfare and Warzone, Call of Duty Mobile Season 7 has also been delayed indefinitely. The delay was made public on the official Twitter account for Call of Duty:

While we all look forward to playing the new seasons of Modern Warfare, Warzone, and Call of Duty: Mobile, now is not the time. We are moving the launches of Modern Warfare Season 4 and Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 to later dates. Right now it’s time for those speaking up for equality, justice and change to be seen and heard. We stand alongside you.”

The Call of Duty Modern Warfare Season 4 was scheduled to go live on Wednesday, June 3rd with new weapons and maps, plus a new operator in the form of Captain Price. The Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 was also set to follow on Friday, June 5th, with a raging “radioactive agent” theme; all this will be delayed until further notice.

Other gaming companies, such as EA (who has also delayed Madden 21 indefinitely, in public solidarity with the protests against the “systemic bias that is plaguing the nation and our world” or maybe they ought to fire their programmers…who knows?) plus Sony, Microsoft, and Activision, are publically expressing their support to the black community and the Black Lives Matter movement in much the same manner.
