Atlanta FaZe reaches Week 2 at the top of Group B

Tensions got really high during the first-ever Black Ops: Cold War showdown between host Atlanta Haze and that other league favorite Chicago’s OpTic.

The Haze secured a 3-2 victory Sunday after a hard-fought battle in which both teams struggled to keep the advantage throughout the series.

Having beaten the Los Angeles Guerrillas on their first match of the CoD tourney with a 3-nothing score, Atlanta had paired up with similarly-ranked OpTic for Best Group-B runner-up, and Sunday’s late game was to define which team was to lead their group ahead of Week 2. By the end of the evening, HaZe had taken the honourable top position credits.

Call of Duty League play will resume this next Thursday, February 18th, with two matches: The first one between The Florida Mutineers and LA Guerrillas, in which the former is heavy favorite to win with a near -600 money line price, and only a few hours later, OpTic will do battle with the Toronto Ultra.
