Boy oh boy… Twitch is too “cancelling finger-ready” lately!

The latest news springing from the esports online media is that, for no apparent or practical reason, Twitch moved to ban popular CoD Warzone streamer Tommey, then, suddenly changed their minds and reinstated his account, all in the brief time period of a single 5 hours.

The short length of the suspension – which doesn’t even amount to the total duration of two consecutive Lord of the Rings movies – didn’t stop Tommey from complaining via Twitter about the precious time and opportunities lost… The tragedy people, the TRAGEDY!

Twitch moves to ban Tommey, then lifts suspension 5 hours later

So, if we are to believe what Warzone streamer Tommey stated via Twitter on Tuesday, Twitch unilaterally decided that he deserved a 14-day ban, on the supposed basis that Tommey had “released non-sensitive personal information on VOD.”

Tommey’s Twitter response to that?  – ”Well, this sucks!  He then went on to add that “The [ban] not only ruins the progress and growth we were making, but also stops me from competing in any form of W2 tournament and also playing with anyone who’s streaming on Twitch. No clue what to do.”

Lastly, the 100 Thieves’ member declared that during those forever-lasting 5 hours of undue punishment, he received not a single full explanation for the ban, nor video, nor any other details on context.

Account’s back up!

Suddenly and and without any prior notice (not that it was needed at all) Twitch reinstated Tommey’s account, and kindly emailed him a message that simply stated: “Apologies for any inconvenience or confusion this might have caused.

Thus ended another dramatic episode in the always-shaky world of esports. You can all tune back into Tommey’s Twitch channel whenever you please.
