DOTA 2 Still Has Game Coordinator Issues

Responsiveness is the hellmaker here for DOTA 2: its issues with Game Coordinator responsiveness are whacking their heads and making them suffer… still.

So it was earlier this week when connection issues broke out in Dota 2, but Valve is still working on fixing the issues that will get the Game Coordinator back on its feet again. Players have been experiencing trouble connecting to matches and finishing them, and Valve is still running around like a headless chicken trying to smooth out the server troubles.

We are having further Game Coordinator responsiveness issues,” they said, “We are really sorry that it is happening yet again, we are working on finding the root cause for the extreme load that happens suddenly at the same time each day recently.”

This feature is the part of the main extension used for transferring connections to other servers and facilitating games in the Dota 2 client, so it has led to a peak in disconnects, very long loading times, connection errors… the works. The problem is also extending to players’ credit: they can finish a match but getting credit toward a guild contract is being disrupted; some of their games are not even showing up in their playing history.

There is no timeline yet as to when Dota 2 will be able to stabilize its servers.
