NOT ENOUGH DOTA 2 ACTION? OMEGA LEAGUE SEASON 2 TO START IN OCTOBER
The fans asked for it and the fans got it: The highly successful Omega League format will see a second run.
Set for kick-off on October 28, the new Dota 2 tourney is the outcome of the combined efforts of Epic Esports, WePlay! Esports and some other groups, who understood the need for a top-notch competition to fill up the empty action space of the next few months: “We can’t leave the teams with no competition and the fans without their favorite show, so the tournament must go on!” said Epic Esports representative Mark Averbukh just a few days ago.

IF IT AIN’T BROKEN…
Averbukh also remarked on the importance of the Omega League format and on how they planned all along on keeping it alive and enhancing it some more: “The first season of Omega League has proven the chosen format to be a success and we have improved it even further for the entire Dota community to enjoy.”
Omega Season 2 is a two-division program, covering both the European and CIS player regions. The divisions are known as Immortals and Divines. These two act like the Dota versions of the Champions League & Europa League in soccer: one is for top-ranking teams, the second for the less-fortunate squads.
