Challengers, Masters and Champions

The way the folks at Riot Games have it set up, and according to the intel obtained from VALORANT’s “Hangout” Twitch Stream, the 2021 esports season will consist of a three-part championship, with room for the hopefuls, the veterans and the up-and-coming champions.

The first stage, namely the “Challengers” stage, kicks off the VALORANT Champions Tour and will commence with the LATAM Challengers split on January 26th. Two days later, Korea and Brazil follow suit; North American joins the fight on February 7th and Southeast Asia on the 5th, while Europe and CIS will have to wait until Feb 11th. There’s no information yet in regards to the starting date for the Middle East/North Africa region. THIS one sounds like a really cool region to check out this year… just sayin’

The main purpose of the Challengers stage is to “seed out” the competitors for the three Masters event, which will, in turn, define the regional spots for the final Champions event, scheduled for later in the year.
