WINTER BALL EXHIBITION TOURNAMENT COMING THIS OFF-SEASON
Santa Claus is coming early to Overwatch town this year, with a fantastic exhibition tournament showcasing some of the hottest esports talent ahead of the 2021 season.
Fans are not going to have to wait until next year to see the Overwatch action resume; the Valiant Winter Ball, presented by FrontierCorp, will take place this December 12th and 13th, and it will feature a 2-day series of exhibition matches between top North American teams; it will also become a great opportunity to check out some early 2021 team rosters for your favorite regional squads.

Valiant Winter Ball
Naturally, it was the Los Angeles Valiant team that was fully responsible for this excellent gaming news: the US squad will be the gracious host of the upcoming 2-day event, intended to showcase the newest rosters for some of North America’s grandest Overwatch ensambles.
East and West Coast will have a “showdown” of sorts; representing two sides of crowded Los Angeles come the Valiant -the organizers- and the Gladiators, while the Atlanta Reign and Florida Mayhem will do their part for the East Coast area. On top of a brief series of exhibition matches between the invitees, the event is also supposed to feature some sort of art show, called the Art and Fashion Showcase, with submitted artwork by fans from all across the country.
The Winter Ball thus becomes the second “Exhibition” event to take place during this off-season period, following on the footsteps of the Asia-held Esports Shanghai Masters event, which kicked off and wrapped up this last weekend. The single-elimination tournament ended up with local team Dragons snatching up 1st place, followed by Hangzhou Spark, Chengdu Hunters and Guangzhou Charge.
