EPIC IS GIVING AWAY V-BUCKS TO PLAYERS WHO PURCHASED IN-GAME LOOT BOXES
Epic Games is “playing nice” with in-game loot box buyers.
According to recent gaming news reports, EPIC Games, the famous developer of battle royale mega-hit Fortnite, is now awarding purchasers of the controversial loot boxes with a special V-Bucks bounty.
The unexpected move came after EPIC received confirmation on Monday that a North Carolina judge approved a preliminary settlement for a class-action lawsuit relating to said loot boxes. The alleged settlement will also award the plaintiffs and other affected entities with about $26 million in reparations.

Preemptive Move By Epic Games?
Everything makes perfect sense in the legal frame:
-According to TheVerge.com, Epic Games was notified on Monday that a North Carolina judge had pre-approved a settlement deal put forward by the developers’ legal representatives.
-Starting Tuesday, all purchasers of at least ONE in-game Loot Llama (Loot Box, within the “Save the World” cooperative survival mode) started receiving each 1000 V-Bucks, as stipulated in the suit’s settlement.
-The V-Bucks will be automatically deposited to the affected players’ accounts from Feb 23 (Tuesday) until Feb 25 (Thursday), 2020.
-International players will also receive the special V-Bucks deposit.
In regards to the last point: Even though the suit truly only settles the issue within the United States, EPIC has chosen to apply the same norm to the world-wide market, so, it doesn’t matter where you are, if you purchased one of those shady boxes at some point before mid-2019, then, check your available V-bucks balance, you might see an extra K popping right up!
As stated by EPIC themselves, via their official Fortnite Twitter account:
@FortniteGame: “We’re dropping 1000 V-Bucks into the accounts of all players globally who bought a random item loot llama in STW before we stopped offering them. No action needed, if you purchased this item you should see the V-Bucks in your account over the next few days.” By @FortniteGame
