2020 WORLD’S: MORE THAN 1.5M PEOPLE ENTERED LOTTERY TO WIN LIVE SEATS @ FINALS

After announcing the opening of a bid for 6312 seats for the upcoming LoL World Championship’s Finals, nearly 1.5 million people have already registered online for a chance to bear witness to one of the biggest esports events of the year.

The Finals, which will take place this next October 31st, have been limited to a China-only audience due to the travelling restrictions and the organizational difficulties brought by the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, however, this hasn’t stopped millions of local LoL fans from entering the limited lottery, which closes in two days from now (Oct. 14th.)

Limited Seats, Limited Time

The final confirmation of the live-audience seats’ lottery came as a pleasant surprise to thousands of League of Legends players last week, who had been eagerly waiting since the organizers hunted at the possibility just last month. Nonetheless, they will now have to contend with millions of other fans, who have already undergone the cumbersome registration procedure that includes entering your LoL account, your full name, a working Chinese phone number and ID Card info. Participants are also required to be at least Level 30 in order to apply.

The lottery results will be made public on October 16th, then, the lucky winners will be asked to cover a small fee, same which they will get reimbursed at the end of the finals.
