LEC Coverage in EVERY Language!
The first League of Legends event of the year enjoyed some uncanny ratings via Twitch’ official English-language channel, achieving an impressive 115,000+ exclusive viewers throughout the tournament’s starting 23-some hours of play, which spanned from Friday, Jan 22, until Sunday the 24th, but this was only to be the tip of the iceberg.
Europe being the vast multi-language region it actually is, English wasn’t going to be the only spoken tongue available via Twitch: Eight additional channels were also featured in as varied languages as Spanish, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Hungarian, ultimately raising the total live ratings tally to a whopping 231,000 total viewers during the weekend alone.
The second week of the top League of Legends event from the other side of the pond will resume this next Friday, January 29th, with a match between MAD Lions and Excel teams at 10 AM Central.
