ROSTER CHANGES: PERKS AND CAPS SWITCH FOR 2020 LEC SUMMER SPLIT

G2 Esports recently took home the 2020 LEC Spring Split championship; still, they are not dudes to keep still and they are now making another change in the roster to prepare for the 2020 LEC Summer Season.

This time, it’s a switch. Head coach Fabian “‎GrabbZ‎” Lohmann, coach for G2 Esports, stated team stars Caps and Perkz will be going back to the roster iteration they had in 2019, with Perkz back in the AD carry position and Caps going back to the midlane. The team had contemplated sending Wunder to botlane, but then decided on the switch-back to the 2019 roster.

There’s something about the fact that there are two great western minds and ads in the same team, and planning for it takes up a lot of creativity, although you can’t deny it makes things a whole lot easier. G2’s owner Carlos “Ocelote” Rodriguez Santiago even went out on a limb saying that their “ultimate goal” would be having both change positions for each and every game. (How’s that for keeping them sharp?)

“Honestly? I don’t know. What I would say is that now we know how to play Caps bot and Perkz mid, and Perkz bot with Caps mid,” said Ocelote. “So who’s going to play where? Nobody knows.” O.o
