TEAM LIQUID’S WINNING STREAK SHOT DOWN BY EVIL GENIUSES IN SUMMER SPLIT
Team Liquid’s winning streak at the 2020 LCS Summer Split was taken down by Evil Geniuses in week 2, when they defeated Liquid with a squeaky-clean, 28-minute match and letting everyone know who’s boss in the top-performing teams.
With heavy map control, splitting players across three lanes, and Baron-buffed minions left at their free reign to attack the opponent’s Nexus, Evil Geniuses took the game by storm and left Team Liquid to bite the proverbial dust. Remember, you coulda watched all this by streaming from LevelUp.bet…
Team Liquid had been coming on strong, kicking off the Split by taking down TSM, Golden Guardians, and 100 Thieves in the first 3 matches. Evil Geniuses had also been doing their thang, taking down both 100 Thieves and CLG in the first matches back on stage, although they did have a fall against the defending LCS Spring champions, Cloud9 yesterday. Still, that wasn’t a problem.
VICTORY FIVE OVERTAKES VICI IN SUMMER SPLIT
Victory Five exceeded all expectations today by taking down Vici Gaming in a fourth-week, 2-0 win in the 2020 LPL Summer Split.
They had lost their previous game against Vici but managed to get their sweet revenge today, probably by having pimped their roster during the midseason break. Vici has a good prognosis, but Victory 5 is definitely the team to watch.
Victory Five is now preparing for a tough game against RNG on Thursday, June 25th, which is a strong team from the 2020 LPL Spring Split playoffs, where V5 went terribly, terribly wrong.
