ARE BRIE LARSON’S DAYS AS ‘CAPTAIN MARVEL’ COUNTED?

-The announcement of titles and release dates for Marvel’s Phase 4 has shed doubt on the future of Brie Larson as a Marvel superhero.

-Feige has officially changed the name of the upcoming ‘Captain Marvel 2’ movie for ‘The Marvels’

-Monica Rambeau – from WandaVision – will appear next to Larson in the upcoming film.

Are Brie Larson’s days as Captain Marvel over?

Most likely not, but if we’re to take the most recent developments stemming from Kevin Feige and the rest of his overachieving production team at Marvel Studios with some seriousness, then, it’d be fair to assume that BIG CHANGES are coming in the direction of Miss Captain Marvel, aka Brie Larson, one of the most detested people in the internet today.

Larson, who’s never out of “lovely”, passive-aggressive statements about how much she likes “white” men, received a fatal blow during the last few days, when an online poll showed that most Marvel fans would be much happier if the Captain Marvel 2 spot (reserved since long ago) be awarded to a different project, so it appears likely that Feige, once having assessed the terrible fan-dislike situation, may have made a move to put a stop on the endless list of hurdles they’d be facing if they allowed the actress to stay long-term.

Say Hello to The Marvels; GoodBye Captain Marvel

A new promo released by Marvel Studios on Monday featured some interesting updates to the pre-set listing of Phase 4 movies coming up, and perhaps the juiciest change of ‘em all, was the change of the Captain Marvel 2 movie’s name for “The Marvels” instead.

As to an explanation for the change? – Nothing as of yet, nor has anything been said about any additional alterations to the planned storyline for everyone’s favorite female superhero…. NOT.

In any case, what IS known is that Monica Rambeau and Iman Vellani will both have more prominent roles in the next film, as was shown in social media campaigns for Phase 4: “The sequel to Cap Marvel flies higher, further, faster with director Nia DaCosta, as Brie Larson (Captain Marvel) is joined by Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau) and Iman Vellani (Kamala Khan/Miss Marvel).”

What about the Rogue story arc?

Then, there’s also the old-as-time story of Rogue stealing the original Captain Marvel’s powers – thus becoming the Rogue character as we mostly know it – but while we remain unaware of the actual plans of Marvel Studios in regards to the X-Men movie franchise, the safest thing to assume would be that Rogue has nothing to do with Cap. Marvel’s near future…. Just not yet… Maybe later (crossing fingers).

The complete list of newly-updated release dates shown in the promo is as follows:

Black Widow – July 9th, 2021

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings – September 3rd, 2021

The Eternals – November 5th, 2021

Spider-Man: No Way Home – December 17, 2021

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – March 25th, 2022

Thor: Love & Thunder – March 6th, 2022

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – July 8th, 2022

The Marvels – November 11th, 2022

Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania – February 17th, 2023

Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3 – May 5th, 2023.

And because Marvel is Marvel, and they love to leave us wanting for more, they fitted the classic Fantastic 4 logo to the ending scenes of the promo. – Nice touch… but would love to know a little more!
