GAL GADOT HAD HER OWN “ISSUES” WITH JUSTICE LEAGUE’S 2ND DIRECTOR JOSS WHEDON, ACCORDING TO NEW ARTICLE
- A recent article by The Hollywood Reporter shed light on some additional production woes stemming from the original Justice League’s post-production.
- Actress Gal Gadot allegedly had “issues” with Whedon during the reshots regarding his vision for her character.
- Gadot’s statements come to add to a mounting number of complaints issued by other actors against the former director of Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
More “shade” for Joss Whedon is on the way!
Not that it should surprise us at all but, there’s newer allegations of “rude” treatment and mishandling of the actors involved in the original Justice League reshoots by director Joss Whedon, this time by none other than Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot.
Whedon, who because known after launching 90’s teen adventure drama ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’, had been in the eye of controversy much through the course of 2020, due to allegations by actor Ray Fisher (aka Cyborg) of “racism” and mistreatment as applied to his screen persona. These, according to the Fisher, took place during the last reshoots requested by the DC/WB Studios after they were forced to let go of original director Zack Snyder, who lost his own daughter to suicide during the latest shots of the production.

“Issues” with Whedon, according to Gadot
As discovered via a new bulletin published by CinemaBlend earlier today, Israeli actress Gal Gadot has thrown in some additional shade in Joss Whedon’s general direction.
In the article originally published on Tuesday by The Hollywood Reporter, Gadot clarifies that she did indeed have “issues” with Whedon during the last phase of reshots of the original Justice League, and said that she had even been forced to turn to the production execs at the WB for help, in order to alleviate the situation.
As presented in the THR’s article: “The biggest clash, sources say, came when Whedon pushed Gadot to record lines she didn’t like, threatened to harm Gadot’s career and disparaged Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins”
Also from the article: “A witness on the production who later spoke to investigators says that after one clash, ‘Joss was bragging that he’s had it out with Gal. He told her he’s the writer and she’s going to shut up and say the lines and he can make her look incredibly stupid in this movie.’ “
Lastly: “A knowledgeable source says Gadot and Jenkins went to battle, culminating in a meeting with then-Warners chairman Kevin Tsujihara. Asked for comment, Gadot says in a statement: ‘I had my issues with [Whedon] and Warner Bros. handled it in a timely manner.’
Meanwhile, though previously denied, it’s possible the WB may now be pondering bringing back the defunct “Snyderverse” from the trash bin, as millions of fans have tuned in to HBO Max to get a glimpse of the critically praised Zack Snyder’s Cut of Justice League, since it was released only a few weeks ago.
Will they give in? Very likely. In the end, all they care about is money, and we would have NO complaints with that WHATSOEVER.
