MANDALORIAN SEASON 2 UPDATES: KATEE SACKHOFF WILL BE BO-KATAN KRYZE; BOBA FETT ALSO IN SIGHT?

The second season of The Mandalorian is nabbing Katee Sackhoff, who played Starbuck on Battlestar Galactica and lent her voice to Bo-Katan Kryze in Dave Filoni’s animated series of Clone Wars and Star Wards Rebels, to spill over into the live-action role of the one-time leader of Mandalore. First Ahsoka Tano, now Bo-Katan Kryze. A nice addition to the cast, if you ask me (Sackhoff played a pretty kick-ass Starbuck in the last BSG series).

Katee Sackhoff will be up against Moff Gideon, who had the legendary Darksaber (the coolest by FAR!) at the end of Season 1 of The Mandalorian, thus appearing in Season 2 after having filmed her role back in February, pre-pandemic, pre-production shutdowns. The show completed its main photography in March; with the post-production being done remotely, the new episodes will still make the October 2020 schedule. Whatever her role in the series, you can bet your cheeks it has to do with the saber and Gideon.

Katee’s participation in The Mandalorian Season Two has been confirmed by multiple sources, although reps for Katee and Lucas Films have declined to comment. All we know is that Bo-Katan will be appearing in this upcoming season, but not the How: flashbacks, death… whatever. Still, she’s gonna be there.

BOBA FETT ALSO LANDS A LIVE-ACTION ROLE IN THE MANDALORIAN SEASON 2

Played by Temuera Morrison, Boba Fett is making a live-action return to the world of Star Wars, this time in Disney’s Season 2 of The Mandalorian. Intent seems for him to play a “small role” but since Boba is the duplicate of another person, sources may have hinted that there could be some cloning involved.

The fandom has been expecting Boba to appear in The Mandalorian, and it looks like Morrison is going to be joining an already increasing band of newcomers for Season 2, where Michael Biehn (bounty hunter) and Rosario Dawson (Ahsoka Tano) are confirmed. For Season 2, the returning cast members will be Pedro Pascal (Din Djarin), Gina Carano (Cara Dune), Carl Weathers (Greef Karga), Ginacarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon), Bill Burr (Mayfield), and of course… Baby Yoda :3
