God of War, the way the Gods intended it!

So, Santa Monica Studio was very pleased to report the final release of the latest God of War patch for the PlayStation 5, which will bring all those special graphics advantages:

Coming to you tomorrow (Today, Feb 2nd), we will be releasing a free patch that replaces the current video graphics mode option with a new default setting that will offer the best of both performance and resolution to our PlayStation 5 players.

Back in the days of the original PS4 version of the popular title, players were forced to make a choice, and decide on whether they preferred to give a spike to performance, or resolution. This new PS5 will allow fans to go both ways and enjoy God of War in the highest quality known to date.

The new enhanced performance features include syncing to 60 FPS, 4K Checkerboard resolution and 2160p. Additionally, the new patch also features the ‘favor resolution’, enabling players to select the original PS4 performance experience, which runs on the former 30 FPS mode, alongside the improved 4K Checkerboard mode.

Lastly, backwards compatibility is pushed to the limit, with a PS5 supported save transfers, permitting players to tackle past game saves with all the new improved graphics features.
