STAR WARS JEDI KNIGHT: JEDI ACADEMY SOON ON SWITCH AND PS4
For all those hardcore Force fans, the time has come to be driven, yet again, to the path of Jedi Apprentices: the 2003 super classic Jedi Academy is being re-released for Switch and PS4 consoles, with Star Wars: Episode 1 Racer to hit the streets later this spring. Still remember the N64 version… (Yeap, I’m old!)
Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy lets players create and personalize their own apprentices, forge their lightsabers and learn the way of the Force. They progress down the path of the Force, unlock new lightsaber fighting syles and Force powers… the works. But, hey, never mind Jedi Luke’s frown if you put too many points in Force Lighting.
Force Lighting is da boss here. Just balance it out with points in Force Heal or any other Luke-approved stuff, and you’ll keep the Jedi Master under check to make him stop dropping the knowledge crap on you.
Plus, you can feel the thrill again as you battle online in 16-Jedi multiplayer bouts, including Siege, Capture the Flag, and Free For All. Sick.
Aspyr Media’s new and revamped game includes full support for online multiplayers clashing in epic battles or squaring off in duels to keep the fun online scenario it had back in the day (the birth of a New Esport? maybe?). Oh, and while you’re biting off your nails, waiting for it to hit the streets, you can go for some sick Jedi Knight-inspired themes right now.
You’ll be able to soak up the next chapter of Kyle Katarn’s story and get to see all the familiar characters torn, as always, between the light side and dark side. Never forget the path to the dark side will always be lurking over your shoulder… and cookies!
Boy! This takes me back to the good ol’ years of the mid-2000s and some of the best Lucasfilm videogames ever made.
Go knock yourself out, Padawan.
